Thuura Boys High School Students Stage Hilarious Mock “Funeral” to Mourn the End of Chemistry Exams

In a video that has left Kenyans in stitches, students of Thuura Boys High School staged a hilarious mock “funeral” to mourn the end of their Chemistry exams.

The students, who had just finished one of the toughest papers in KCSE, decided to celebrate in the most creative way possible – by holding a funeral for Chemistry.

In the viral video, the boys are seen carrying a mock coffin, dressed in black, and singing funeral songs as if they were burying a real person.

> “Chemistry is dead! Chemistry is dead! Rest in peace Chemistry!” the students sang as they marched around the school compound.

One student acted as the pastor, while others acted as mourners, crying loudly and wailing in a funny way that left their classmates laughing.

> “Today we bury Chemistry. It has tortured us for four years. We will never see it again,” one student joked.

> “Chemistry, you were hard. You gave us sleepless nights. Now you are gone. Rest in peace,” another student added, pretending to cry.

Teachers and other students watched the drama and could not stop laughing. Some even joined in the celebration.

> “These boys are creative. After a tough paper, they needed to release stress. This is how they did it,” one teacher said.

The video has gone viral online, with many Kenyans praising the students for their creativity and sense of humour.

> “Thuura Boys, you are the best! This is the funniest video I have seen this KCSE season. Chemistry really deserves a funeral.”

> “I remember my time. Chemistry made me cry for real. These boys are just saying what we all felt.”

> “Let the boys enjoy. KCSE is stressful. They need to laugh after exams.”

Others said Chemistry is one of the most feared subjects in KCSE, with many students struggling with formulas, equations, and practicals.

> “Chemistry is not for the weak. If you know, you know. These boys have spoken for all of us,” one former student wrote.

Education experts say such light moments help students reduce exam stress and stay motivated for the remaining papers.

> “KCSE is a stressful period. When students laugh and celebrate small wins, it helps them relax and prepare better for the next paper,” an expert said.

The Thuura Boys students say they are now ready for the next papers, and they hope Chemistry will “rest in peace” forever.

> “We have buried Chemistry. Now we focus on the next paper. No more Chemistry,” one student said.
