‘Tell Him to Quit the 2027 Race’—Atiku’s Aide Reacts to Viral Video of Tinubu Stumbling in Akwa Ibom

According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday November 07, 2026, Paul Ibe, media aide to African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has questioned President Bola Tinubu’s physical capacity to seek re-election in 2027 following the circulation of a video showing the president appearing to stumble after a campaign rally in Akwa Ibom State.

The footage, which has attracted widespread attention on social media, captured Tinubu seemingly losing his balance while walking towards his official convoy after the political event.

The video has generated reactions from Nigerians, with some users raising concerns about the president’s physical fitness and ability to cope with the demands of another presidential campaign and a second term in office.

Reacting to the development in a post on his X account, Ibe questioned whether Tinubu could withstand the physical demands associated with seeking another four-year mandate.

He also called on the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, and the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, to speak candidly with him about his reported intention to contest the 2027 presidential election.

According to Ibe, those closest to the president should encourage him to reconsider his political ambition and withdraw from the race.

He wrote: “Tinubu’s latest campaign appearance raises a question the APC can no longer brush aside. Is he up to the demands of another presidential campaign and a second term?

“Aunty Remi and Seyi, you are among those closest to him. Give him the honest counsel his party seems unwilling to offer. Urge him to step out of the race with dignity.”

Ibe’s remarks have added to the political debate surrounding Tinubu’s reported re-election ambition, with the 2027 presidential contest already attracting attention from political figures and opposition groups.
