Rare Photos of Rachel Ruto’s Father Emerge During Charlene’s Lavish Wedding in Tanzania
Rare photographs of First Lady Rachel Ruto’s father have emerged following the wedding of President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, and her Tanzanian husband, Isaya Yunge, in Mwanza.
The images captured Rachel’s father attending the colourful white wedding held on Friday, November 6, at Malaika Beach Resort, overlooking Lake Victoria.
In one photograph, President Ruto was seen holding his father-in-law’s hand in a warm family gesture, attracting attention from people following the celebrations.
Another picture showed Rachel’s father addressing guests during the ceremony, offering a glimpse into the family gathering that brought relatives from Kenya and Tanzania together.
His appearance became a notable moment at the event, considering that he rarely features in public engagements involving the First Family.
Charlene exchanged marriage vows with Isaya during an outdoor ceremony attended by prominent political figures, government officials, relatives and close friends.
Among those present were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and his wife Tessie, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
President Ruto and Rachel also shared special moments with their daughter, including escorting her down the aisle as she walked towards her groom in an elegant white wedding gown.
The celebrations marked another important chapter in Charlene and Isaya’s relationship, following their traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony held on August 8 at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Photographs from the Mwanza occasion have continued attracting interest online, with attention extending beyond the newlyweds to the family members who attended the celebration.
