“Leave Us Alone ” Wetangula, Mudavadi & Atwoli Given Stern Warning by Busia Youths Ahead of 2027
Youths affiliated with the Linda Mwananchi Movement in Busia County have issued a strong warning to several prominent Western Kenya leaders, accusing them of frustrating their political agenda.
The youth expressed their frustration during a public gathering with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, and Central Organization of Trade Unions boss Francis Atwoli claiming the leaders are creating unnecessary obstacles for them.
The group said that they are firmly focused on the 2027 general election and will not be swayed by alternative timelines.
They cautioned the seasoned politicians against what they perceive as political interference, indicating that such actions will not derail their support for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
The youths made it clear that their movement is committed to backing Sifuna’s political ambitions in the upcoming polls rejecting any suggestions to defer their plans to 2032.
The statement shows growing political friction within the Western region as younger voters seek to assert their independence from established political kingpins.
The Busia youth are signaling a shift in local political dynamics and a desire for new leadership.
The group maintained that they are determined to push their agenda forward despite the perceived pressure from the region’s veteran politicians insisting that their support for Sifuna remains unwavering.
This development shows the intensifying jostling for political supremacy in Western Kenya ahead of the next election cycle.
