Speaking about the condition of the country’s roads, the politician recalled that during Obasanjo’s administration, he could drive from Benin City to his village in approximately 45 minutes.

However, he said the same journey now takes about five hours to complete, using the difference to illustrate what he described as the deterioration of road infrastructure over the years.

He said: “It used to take 45 minutes to drive to my village under Obasanjo, but now it takes 5 hours.”

For Imasuagbon, the increase in travel time reflects the challenges Nigerians face due to poor infrastructure and raises questions about the government’s responsibility to provide functional roads for citizens.

His comments came during a broader discussion about the country’s political and economic situation. He also addressed the legal challenges facing the ADC, expressing confidence that the party would successfully challenge the recent judgment at the Court of Appeal and, if necessary, the Supreme Court.
