A Man Told My Friend He Wanted To Marry Me,But She Told Him To Pay First Before Connecting Us–Bakare

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has recounted an incident in which she alleged that her former friend and colleague, Eniola Badmus, demanded money from a man who wanted to contact her with marriage intentions.

Bakare shared the experience during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the show With Chude, where she spoke about the breakdown of her relationship with Badmus and the reasons she no longer considers their friendship genuine.

According to the actress, a man who was interested in marrying her approached Eniola Badmus to help him get her contact information. However, rather than connecting the two of them, Bakare claimed that Badmus told the man he would have to pay through his nose before gaining access to her.

She said: “A man told my friend he wanted to marry me, but she told him to pay first before connecting us.”

Bakare said she later heard about the conversation and was deeply disappointed by what she described as her friend’s response. She considered the incident evidence that their friendship was not genuine, describing the relationship as fake.

The actress also recalled how she had supported Badmus during the early stages of their careers, including giving her prominent roles in some of her film projects. She suggested that their differences in personality and approach to personal relationships contributed to the problems between them.

When asked about the possibility of reconciliation, Bakare expressed doubts that they would become friends again.

Her account offers her perspective on the disagreement between the two actresses. The allegation about the man’s attempt to contact her and Badmus’s reported response was made by Bakare during the interview.
