2027 AFCONQ: NSA announces ticket prices for Ghana v Somalia game at Essipong

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced ticket prices and sales arrangements for Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Somalia at the Essipong Sports Stadium.

In a public notice issued on November 5, 2026, the NSA confirmed that tickets for the match will cost GH₵50 across all seated sections of the stadium, while supporters wishing to access the VVIP section will pay GH₵100.

Students will be granted free admission to designated standing areas as part of efforts to encourage their attendance and create an atmosphere of strong support for the national team.

However, students will be required to present valid student identification cards for verification before being allowed into the stadium.

Ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, November 10, at 10:00 GMT, with the Essipong Sports Stadium designated as the official sales point.

The NSA has urged supporters to purchase tickets only through the approved outlet and adhere to the stadium’s seating arrangements to ensure an orderly matchday experience.

The authority has also called on football fans across the country to turn out in large numbers to support the Black Stars as they continue their quest to qualify for the 2027 AFCON.

Ghana will host Somalia on Wednesday, November 11, before travelling no further than the same venue for the return fixture on Monday, November 16, with the visitors designated as the home team for the second encounter. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.

The two matches are crucial to Ghana’s qualification hopes after the four-time African champions suffered defeats against Ivory Coast and The Gambia in their opening Group C fixtures.

Those results have left the Black Stars under pressure to collect maximum points from their remaining qualifying matches as they seek to secure a place at the 2027 tournament.

Ghana missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a disappointing qualifying campaign in which they failed to win any of their six matches.

The upcoming double-header against Somalia therefore presents an important opportunity for the Black Stars to revive their qualification campaign and take a step towards returning to Africa’s biggest international football tournament.
