Why Oscar Sudi was almost everywhere with Ruto’s family at Charlene’s Wedding
The Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi was among the familiar faces spotted alongside President William Ruto and members of the First Family during Charlene Ruto’s wedding celebrations in Mwanza, Tanzania.
From accompanying the president during his arrival in the lakeside city to appearing alongside him and First Lady Rachel Ruto at the wedding, Sudi featured prominently in several moments shared from the celebrations.
His presence attracted attention from Kenyans, particularly after videos showed him walking alongside Ruto during a relaxed outing at a luxury beach hotel ahead of the ceremony.
In another video shared online, Sudi was spotted alongside the president and first lady while they made the entrance to the wedding celebrations.
But why was the Kapseret MP so closely associated with the First Family throughout the celebrations?
One reason behind Sudi’s visible presence is his longstanding political association with President Ruto.
The two have maintained a close relationship over the years, dating back to Ruto’s earlier political career when he served as Eldoret North MP.
Sudi has remained one of the President’s political allies, supporting his political ambitions and accompanying him during several public engagements.
Their association has also been visible outside political events, with the two occasionally sharing relaxed moments that offer glimpses into their relationship.
The Mwanza wedding celebrations provided another opportunity for the public to see the two together away from their usual political engagements.
Sudi was among the Kenyan leaders and associates who travelled to Mwanza ahead of Charlene’s wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge.
The MP shared footage of himself walking alongside Ruto at a hotel in the lakeside city on Thursday, November 5, as preparations for the wedding gathered momentum.
The video showed the two men strolling through the hotel grounds while interacting with people they encountered.
President Ruto’s son, Nick Ruto, also made a brief appearance during the outing.
Sudi’s posts offered Kenyans a glimpse into the President’s activities ahead of his daughter’s big day.
