Kaizer Junior’s Remark Highlights Storm’s Memorable Experience at Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs’ history has been filled with memorable moments, and former fitness coach Storm’s experiences at the Soweto giants have provided an interesting insight into the demands and pressures associated with working at one of South Africa’s biggest football clubs.

Storm, who became one of the most recognisable fitness coaches in South African football, has previously worked with several leading Premier Soccer League clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

During her time at Chiefs, she experienced the intense expectations surrounding the club, where supporters demand consistent performances and positive results. Her story has also highlighted the emotional connection between the technical team, players and the club’s passionate fan base.

One of the most memorable aspects of her Chiefs experience was an exchange involving Kaizer Junior, who reportedly made a striking remark during a challenging period at the club.

The statement, “Els, We’ll Rather Get Killed”, forms part of the story reflecting the pressure and difficult circumstances that can surround life at Naturena.

Working at a club of Chiefs’ stature comes with enormous responsibilities, particularly because of the expectations attached to its history and large supporter base.

Storm’s experience across the country’s major football institutions has given her exposure to different coaching environments, training philosophies and approaches to player conditioning.

Her journey also demonstrates the important role fitness coaches play behind the scenes, helping footballers maintain their physical condition, prepare for demanding fixtures and recover from the challenges of competitive football.

Despite the different environments she has experienced, her time at Kaizer Chiefs remains a notable part of her career in South African football.
