Hearts of Oak determined to bounce back after shock Debibi United defeat β
Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor has expressed confidence that his side will bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Debibi United when they take on Heart of Lions in their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture.
The Phobians suffered a setback last weekend, losing their second league game of the season after falling to Debibi United away from home.
However, Kapor insists his players are determined to put the disappointment behind them and return to winning ways when the two sides meet in their Week 10 encounter.
Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of Sundayβs fixture, the Hearts of Oak coach admitted that his team had not anticipated the defeat, having travelled with the intention of securing all three points.
βWe didnβt expect the result in our last match. We went there to win, but unfortunately, we didnβt achieve our goal,β Kapor told Hearts of Oak TV.
The coach, however, remains optimistic about his teamβs chances, revealing that the players have been working hard in training to address their shortcomings and improve their performance.
βWe are all ready to bring good energy to our next game. We have been training well and showing that we are ready to create situations we can control. Iβm really sure we will get a good result in the next game. Iβm sure we will convert everything we are doing in training to the next match,β he added.
Hearts of Oak will now turn their attention to Heart of Lions as they seek to return to winning ways and maintain their push for a strong league campaign.
The Week 10 clash is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:00 pm.
