Fernando Da Cruz Praises Elias Mokwana as Kaizer Chiefs Plan Gradual Integration After Break

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando Da Cruz has expressed confidence in the quality and experience of new signing Elias Mokwana, highlighting the forward’s previous involvement with the South African national team as an indication of his abilities.

Speaking to journalists, Da Cruz praised Mokwana’s footballing qualities and explained why he believes the player could become an important addition to the squad. The Chiefs coach also indicated that the club would take a gradual approach to introducing the new arrival into the team.

“Elias Mokwana is a very good player, an experienced player as well. He was in the Bafana Bafana team before, so he has a lot of quality.” Da Cruz told journalists.

The coach’s comments suggest that Mokwana’s previous experience at international level played a significant role in the club’s decision to bring him into the squad. Having represented Bafana Bafana, the forward arrives with valuable exposure to competitive football and an understanding of the demands associated with playing at a high level.

His arrival is expected to provide Kaizer Chiefs with another attacking option as the club continues working towards improving its performances. However, Da Cruz has made it clear that the player will not be rushed into action immediately, with the technical team preferring to give him sufficient time to settle into his new environment.

Da Cruz further explained that the period following the international break would provide an opportunity to begin integrating Mokwana into the squad. This approach is expected to help the player understand the team’s tactical requirements, develop an understanding with his new teammates and gradually adjust to the club’s playing style.

“I think that after the FIFA break, it will be time to integrate him step by step into the squad.”

The coach’s statement indicates that supporters may have to wait before seeing Mokwana become fully involved in the team’s activities. Nevertheless, his experience and previous international recognition could make him a valuable addition to the Chiefs setup.

With Da Cruz showing confidence in the forward’s abilities, attention will now turn to how quickly Mokwana adapts and establishes himself within the squad.
