2027: Primate Ayodele Names Northern States APC May Lose Presidential Election
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) could lose the presidential election in several Northern states during the 2027 general elections.
Ayodele made the prediction during a recent sermon shared on his Facebook page, where he spoke about the electoral prospects of the ruling party across different parts of Northern Nigeria.
The cleric specifically identified Kano as a major concern for the APC, claiming that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were emerging as strong contenders in the state.
According to him, the political situation in Kano remains uncertain for the ruling party.
He said, “One thing that shocks me that I don’t know yet that is giving me headache now is Kano; I’m seeing that it’s ADC and NDC that is levelling in Kano; How do you want to do that Kano? That Kano is serious. It’s not 100 per cent in Kano for APC.”
Ayodele also warned that the APC should not take its electoral prospects in Sokoto and Zamfara for granted, insisting that the party could face difficulties in both states.
However, he expressed confidence in the APC’s chances in Taraba, predicting that the party could secure victories in both the presidential and governorship elections.
Speaking about Nasarawa State, the cleric cautioned the APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, against actions and statements that could undermine his political prospects.
He suggested that the APC could win the governorship election in the state but lose the presidential contest if the party failed to address certain political challenges.
Ayodele further identified Katsina as another state where the APC could face difficulties, urging the party to intensify its efforts ahead of the elections.
On Adamawa, he was more direct, predicting that the ruling party would not win the state in 2027; He also advised the ADC governorship candidate to strengthen the party’s political structure and work towards securing wider support.
The cleric maintained that his predictions were based on divine direction, urging those who disagreed with his position to seek clarification rather than criticise his statements.
