Prepare for Afternoon Rains on Wednesday , November 4, If You Live in These Areas – Kenya Met

The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has forecast afternoon showers and thunderstorms in several parts of the country on Wednesday, November 4.

According to the weather forecast issued on Tuesday evening, November 3, most areas will experience sunny intervals during the morning hours before rainfall develops in some locations in the afternoon.

In the Western and Nyanza regions, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii and Nyamira are expected to receive afternoon showers, with thunderstorms likely in some areas.

The department also predicted light to moderate showers and thunderstorms in parts of Nairobi, with the capital expected to experience cloudy conditions and sunny intervals in the morning.

In the Central region, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Embu, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Murang’a are expected to receive afternoon showers. Kiambu is also likely to experience light showers in a few places after cloudy conditions and sunny intervals in the morning.

Residents of Kitui and Machakos may experience sunny intervals and occasional light showers in the afternoon. Makueni, however, is expected to remain sunny during both morning and afternoon hours.

In the Rift Valley, afternoon showers are forecast in parts of Uasin Gishu, Laikipia, Nakuru and Narok. Other counties, including Baringo, Nandi, Bomet and Elgeyo-Marakwet, will experience varying conditions, with sunny intervals expected to dominate the morning.

Taita Taveta is expected to experience cloudy conditions and a chance of light rain in a few places during the morning before clearing up in the afternoon.

The meteorological department also forecast maximum temperatures of 38°C in Turkana and 37°C in Garissa and Mandera, making them some of the hottest counties on Wednesday.
