It Will Be Too Late: Gachagua Receives A Warning As Ngunyi Tells Him How He Is Being Used

Political commentator Mutahi Ngunyi has warned DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua that he is being misled by people who appear to support him, and that the truth will only come out when it is too late for him to react.

In a post, Ngunyi said those salivating over Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s seat are deluded. He argued that Kikuyus are sneaky people who fight using what he called the Tao of Paradox.

According to him, they are lying to Gachagua in order to shield Kindiki, a claim he made without presenting evidence of any such arrangement.

He went further and said that because they communicate through Bluetooth, a phrase he used to suggest quiet, unseen coordination, they will reveal their true position at the eleventh hour.

By then, he said, it will be too late for Gachagua. The remarks are his own reading of Mt. Kenya politics, and he did not name anyone who is allegedly deceiving the DCP leader.

The warning comes days after Ngunyi dismissed Gachagua’s claim that President William Ruto would destroy Kikuyus if re-elected, calling it stupidity and describing him as a psycho.

He has been one of the more outspoken critics of the former Deputy President in recent weeks.

Gachagua is competing with Kindiki for influence in the region. The two have been on opposite sides since his impeachment in 2024, and Mt. Kenya elders have tried and failed to broker a truce between Gachagua and Uhuru Kenyatta, with Kindiki reportedly joining the mediation.

Gachagua’s allies, including Senator Karungo Thang’wa, have warned that leaders who side with his rivals will be called out or lose support.
