Fresh Details Emerge of Dorita Macharia’s Disturbing Phone Call Hours Before Brutal Loresho Murder

Fresh revelations from ongoing investigations have brought attention to a distressing telephone conversation involving 86-year-old Dorita Lasinder Macharia on the night she was killed at her home in Loresho Ridge, Nairobi.

According to details contained in police records, Dorita contacted her son, Jimmy Macharia, seeking his intervention following an uncomfortable encounter involving her granddaughter, Thandie Malaika.

The incident reportedly happened on Friday evening, October 30, 2026, when Dorita allegedly walked into her residence and found Thandie in the company of her boyfriend, Emmanuel Munyeki, in an intimate situation.

The discovery triggered an argument, with the elderly woman reportedly demanding an explanation from the two before ordering them to leave her house.

Dorita also instructed her granddaughter to surrender the keys to the property, apparently seeking to restrict her access to the residence. The two reportedly left following the confrontation, but the development did little to ease the grandmother’s concerns.

Investigators indicate that Dorita remained uncomfortable with the situation and feared that her granddaughter’s continued access to the property could create further problems.

It was against this background that she reached out to Jimmy, asking him to come to her assistance and help ensure Thandie was permanently removed from the Loresho home.

However, police accounts indicate that Thandie later returned to the residence after initially leaving. She is said to have spent approximately one hour inside the house with her grandmother.

That interval has become central to the investigation, with detectives believing the fatal assault occurred during the period when the two were reportedly together indoors.

The telephone conversation and events that followed are now among the details investigators are examining as they piece together Dorita’s final hours and establish what happened inside the residence.
