The party knows what I can do, having witnessed my performance in my current position – Amos

According to report by Asempafm on Tuesday 3, November 2026, Amos Blessing Amorse, Esq., a hopeful candidate for the Greater Accra Regional Secretary position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed confidence in his ability to serve the party in the capacity, citing his experience and performance in his current role as the Regional Youth Organiser.

According to him, he possesses the necessary experience, competence and understanding of the party’s organisational structure to take up the responsibility of Regional Secretary and contribute to strengthening the NDC in the Greater Accra Region.

Speaking about his ambition, Amorse maintained that his track record within the party should give members a clear understanding of what he is capable of delivering if entrusted with the position.

“I am a competent and experienced person capable of serving as the NDC Greater Accra Regional Secretary. The party knows what I can do, having witnessed my performance in my current position as the Regional Youth Organiser of the NDC,” he stated.

His declaration highlights his intention to build on the experience he has acquired through his current leadership position and apply it to the administrative and organisational responsibilities of the Regional Secretary’s office.

The Regional Secretary position is an important role within the party’s regional administration. Its responsibilities generally include coordinating party activities, maintaining records, communicating decisions, organising meetings and ensuring effective collaboration among constituency executives and other party structures.

Amorse’s ambition is therefore expected to bring renewed attention to the leadership contest as party members consider individuals seeking various positions in the Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee.

As the process progresses, party delegates will have the opportunity to assess the aspirations, experience, leadership records and proposed contributions of the various hopefuls before making their decisions.

Amorse has made it clear that he believes his experience as Regional Youth Organiser provides a foundation for him to take on the responsibilities of Regional Secretary.
