Showunmi Reacts To Comment That Emir Of Kano Made About All Spokepersons President Tinubu Appointed

One one of members of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Segun Showunmi has reacted to the comment that the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido made about all the spokespersons of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The statement of Segun Showunmi was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This is coming after the Emir of Kano stated that the President doesn’t have good spokepersons that can communicate his policies.

“The government does not express itself properly. It sees every suggestion and contribution as an attack. Frankly, it has not focused on getting good spokepersons”.

However, in a post that Segun Showunmi shared on his official X handle, he commended the Emir of Kano for speaking up. He said national conversations can not be left to spokepersons alone.

Here is what Segun Showunmi wrote on his official X handle;

“I genuinely appreciate your courage and your willingness to rise above the noise when it matters most.

“We cannot leave the national conversation entirely to spokespersons and political mouthpieces. Those who have a voice, knowledge and a deep appreciation of what is at stake must speak up on behalf of all of us”.
