Osotsi, Fred Gumo Pay Courtesy Call on Edwin Sifuna as LMM Political Activities Gather Momentum

Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi and former Cabinet Minister Fred Gumo on Tuesday, November 3, paid a courtesy call on Linda Mwananchi Movement (LMM) party leader Edwin Sifuna at his Nairobi office.

The meeting brought together three prominent political figures at a time when Sifuna’s political movement continues to attract attention amid growing realignments ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Osotsi, who has been associated with the emerging Linda Mwananchi political camp, was accompanied by Gumo, a veteran politician who previously served as Westlands MP and held several government positions.

Their visit to Sifuna’s office comes as the LMM leader intensifies efforts to build political networks and strengthen the movement’s presence across the country.

Sifuna has recently been at the centre of political discussions following his fallout with sections of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), where he previously served as Secretary General.

The Nairobi Senator has since emerged as one of the leading voices behind the Linda Mwananchi Movement, which has attracted politicians and supporters advocating for a different political direction.

The movement has also been seeking to establish structures and mobilise supporters in different parts of the country as the political landscape gradually shifts towards the next General Election.

Tuesday’s meeting is likely to attract political attention given the experience and influence of the individuals involved, particularly as opposition leaders continue exploring possible alliances and strategies for 2027.

However, details of what was discussed during the courtesy call had not been made public by the time of publication.
