Man presents expense book, vows to demand refund if DNA test shows he is not biological father

A man identified as Emmanuel Mensah Amidu from Twifo Praso Mampoma is demanding a DNA test to establish the paternity of a child he believes he may not have fathered, following a series of troubling revelations about his relationship with his partner, Priscilla Maame Esi.

According to Amidu, he lived with Priscilla for more than two years, during which she became pregnant.

He explained that when Priscilla’s family demanded GH₵10,000 from him as part of their marriage-related arrangements, he managed to pay GH₵9,000.He further disclosed that after Priscilla delivered their child, he gave her money to establish a spaghetti business to enable her to become financially independent and support herself and their newborn. However, their relationship reportedly took a dramatic turn after Amidu allegedly came across a video of Priscilla in another man’s room.

When he confronted her about the video, she reportedly accused him of monitoring her movements and activities.Growing increasingly suspicious, Amidu said he later checked Priscilla’s phone and discovered certain information that further heightened his doubts about her faithfulness. He subsequently reported his concerns to Priscilla’s father but claimed he did not receive any meaningful response.

He then involved his mother, who also reached out to Priscilla’s family in an attempt to resolve the matter.During the ensuing discussions, Amidu reportedly discovered that Priscilla had previously lived with another man called Yaw, a revelation that further raised questions in his mind about the paternity of the child. The situation reportedly deteriorated when Priscilla informed him that she was no longer interested in continuing their relationship.Meanwhile, another man allegedly emerged, claiming to be the biological father of the child.Appearing on the Obra Show aired on Nhyira FM and Adom TV, Emmanuel Mensah Amidu, who appeared emotionally distressed by the developments, expressed his determination to undergo a DNA test to establish whether he is indeed the biological father of the child. He also brought along a record book containing details of the money he claimed to have spent on Priscilla and their newborn, insisting that he would demand a refund of his expenses if the DNA test proves that he is not the child’s biological father.Priscilla, however, denied being romantically involved with her former partner, as alleged by Amidu. She explained that her visit to the man’s residence was only to take care of him because he was reportedly sick. After listening to both sides of the dispute, the host Ohemaa Benewaa, directed Priscilla to bring the child from their current location at Twifo Praso Aboabo for a DNA test to be conducted and the paternity issue conclusively addressed.Priscilla is yet to appear with the child for the proposed DNA test, leaving Amidu waiting for the process to begin. The DNA test is expected to provide scientific clarity on the child’s biological paternity and potentially bring an end to the uncertainty surrounding the relationship.Until the test is conducted and the results are made available, the child’s biological paternity remains unestablished. Also read:
