‘I Won’t Tolerate False Reports About Regina’s Health’ — Ned Nwoko Threatens Lawsuit

According to a report by The Cable on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Senator Ned Nwoko has warned bloggers and social media users against spreading false information about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, threatening legal action against those responsible for publishing misleading reports about her health and personal life.

The lawmaker also appealed to the public to give the actress some breathing space as she continues to deal with health challenges that have reportedly affected her mobility and general well-being.

‘I won’t tolerate false reports about Regina’s health,’ he said.

Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, November 2, 2026, expressing concern over what he described as fabricated stories about Daniels, including false announcements claiming that she had died.

According to the senator, the circulation of such reports has caused the actress additional emotional distress at a time when she needs encouragement, privacy and support to focus on her recovery.

He urged her fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to exercise restraint when discussing her personal circumstances, particularly her health.

Nwoko also said his appeal was partly motivated by the couple’s two children, stressing that they deserved to see their mother receive love, support and an opportunity to recover.

He said Daniels had experienced more difficulties than many people realised and should not be subjected to public criticism or judgment over her current condition.

The lawmaker further referred to a video the actress shared on her 25th birthday, October 10, in which she opened up about her prolonged health struggles.

In the emotional video, Daniels disclosed that she had been experiencing severe pain and mobility difficulties for several months, explaining that what initially appeared to be a minor health problem eventually became more serious.

She revealed that her condition sometimes left her unable to walk, forcing her to depend on a wheelchair and assistance from other people.

The actress also described the emotional difficulties associated with losing some of her independence, saying there were moments when the pain became unbearable and left her in tears.

However, she expressed gratitude for improvements in her condition, suggesting that her recovery had recorded significant progress.

Reacting to the situation, Nwoko maintained that Daniels deserved compassion rather than negative publicity, adding that her health remained important to him despite the difficulties in their relationship.

He also accused some social media users of exploiting the actress’ situation to generate attention, clicks and engagement through misleading publications.

The senator warned that such activities would no longer be tolerated, particularly when they involved fabricated death announcements and unverified claims about her medical condition.

He said his team was already documenting the publications and that individuals found responsible for deliberately spreading false information would face appropriate legal consequences.

Nwoko stated that those operating anonymous social media accounts to manufacture stories about the actress should stop immediately, warning that they could be held accountable through legal channels.

The development comes amid the highly publicised marital crisis between the senator and Daniels, whose relationship became a subject of intense public discussion in October 2025.

The couple, who married in 2019, have two sons together. Their marital disagreement played out publicly, with both parties making allegations and counter-allegations concerning their relationship.

Daniels had previously accused Nwoko of abusive and controlling behaviour, allegations the lawmaker denied. Nwoko, on his part, attributed their marital difficulties to alleged substance abuse by the actress, a claim she disputed.

Despite their estrangement, Nwoko’s latest statement focused on Daniels’ well-being and the need to protect her from what he described as harmful misinformation.

He did not, however, announce any reconciliation between them.

The senator reiterated that the actress should be allowed to concentrate on her recovery without being subjected to repeated fabricated stories, urging members of the public to verify information before sharing it.
