GMB Volta Queen Fiakegbe Sessinam Returns Home to GH¢40,000, Land Title From Dagbamete Chiefs

Fiakegbe Marie Juniore Sessinam, the Volta Region’s representative in the 2026 Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant, has received GH¢40,000 and a land title in Tema from the chiefs and people of Dagbamete during her homecoming event on Sunday.

The presentation, held amid pomp and celebration, marked the community’s endorsement of Sessinam’s journey in the national pageant and their confidence in her potential to bring honour to the Volta Region. Traditional leaders described the gesture as both encouragement and a symbol of the community’s investment in her success.

The land title, located in Tema, was singled out as a particularly significant gift, offering the contestant a lasting asset as she navigates the demands of the competition. Chiefs and elders who spoke at the event emphasised that the support was not merely material but also spiritual, pledging their continued prayers and backing throughout the pageant.

Sessinam, visibly moved by the reception, expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Dagbamete for their generosity and for turning out in large numbers to welcome her home. She dedicated the support to her aspirations and promised to represent the Volta Region with dignity, discipline, and purpose.

The homecoming event drew a cross-section of the community, including youth groups, women’s associations, and local leaders who lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the pageant hopeful. Cultural performances and words of blessing formed part of the ceremony, underscoring the deep connection between Sessinam and her roots.

Community members who attended the event said the presentation reflected a growing commitment to supporting young people who carry the region’s name onto national platforms. They urged Sessinam to remain focused and to use her platform to champion causes close to the hearts of Volta residents.

With the pageant still ahead, Sessinam now carries both the weight of expectation and the tangible backing of her people. For Dagbamete, the homecoming was more than a celebration; it was a declaration that their daughter does not walk alone.
