Ghana Publishing Company records 661% jump in 2025 profit

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited has recorded a significant improvement in its financial performance, posting a profit after tax of GH¢16.96 million in 2025, representing a 661.36 per cent increase over the GH¢2.23 million recorded in 2024.

The Managing Director of the company, Nana Kwesi Boaitey, disclosed this at the Government Accountability Series at the Presidency in Accra, attributing the improved performance to financial discipline, operational reforms, improved revenue mobilisation and the introduction of extended working hours.

According to him, the company’s revenue increased by 19.87 per cent, from GH¢60.78 million in 2024 to GH¢72.85 million in 2025.

Gross profit also rose by approximately 49.76 per cent, from GH¢23.38 million to GH¢35.01 million, while operating profit increased from GH¢2.95 million to GH¢19.58 million over the same period.

Mr Boaitey said the performance followed significant reforms introduced after the new management assumed office in February 2025, at a time when the company was facing liquidity challenges, overstaffing and operational inefficiencies.
