24-hour economy cuts gazette processing time at Ghana Publishing Company – Nana Kwesi Boaitey
The Ghana Publishing Company Limited has reduced the processing time for regular gazette applications from eight weeks to three weeks following the introduction of a three-shift working system under the government’s 24-hour economy policy.
The Managing Director of the company, Nana Kwesi Boaitey, disclosed this at the Government Accountability Series at the Presidency in Accra.
He said the company had also reduced the processing time for premium gazette services from one week to three days, while introducing a 24-hour service to improve access for clients.
According to him, the new arrangement was introduced within three weeks of the current management assuming office in February 2025.
Mr Boaitey explained that the decision was intended to make better use of the company’s workforce and production facilities while improving service delivery.
He said the three-shift arrangement had also created additional revenue opportunities for the company.
The Managing Director said management was committed to sustaining the reforms to make the company more responsive to the needs of the public.
