Chiefs Snap Up Bafana Winger Amakhosi Move for Elias Mokwana Sparks Excitement

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly closing in on a major attacking addition, with Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana emerging as a key target for the Soweto giants ahead of the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign.

According to reports published on Monday, 2 November, Chiefs have stepped up their efforts to secure the services of the 27-year-old attacker, who is available on a free transfer following his departure from Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis.

Soccer Laduma has reported on the club’s interest in Mokwana, with developments suggesting that Amakhosi are looking to strengthen their attacking department after experiencing inconsistency in front of goal.

The potential signing could represent an important opportunity for head coach Fernando da Cruz to add quality, pace and experience to his squad without paying a transfer fee.

Mokwana previously established himself as one of the exciting attacking players in South African football during his time at Sekhukhune United. His performances earned him a move to Esperance in 2024, opening the door to a new chapter in his professional career.
