Kotoko Fans Ask Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh: Join the Club Fully or Stay Out of Its Decisions

A strong message is going around among Asante Kotoko supporters, directed at Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh. According to people close to the club, when the new board took over, they wanted Dr. Baah-Nuakoh to become the club’s CEO because the board members admitted they did not have deep football knowledge. He said no to the offer.

Even though he turned down the top job, the questions say he did not step away completely. He reportedly said he would stay behind the scenes and even recommended a sporting director for Kotoko. Yet he continues to suggest which players should be at the club. That is the heart of the complaint: how can someone refuse the CEO role but still want a say in signings behind the scenes?

The message puts it plainly — you cannot be in and out at the same time. If Dr. Baah-Nuakoh loves Kotoko as much as he says, why doesn’t he resign from his oil firm to handle the club full time? The supporters argue that the board needs him fully committed or not involved in club decision-making at all. In their view, Kotoko is suffering because too many bosses are giving orders at the same time.

According to the post, a meeting held at the Baba Yara Stadium has now settled the matter. MENZO takes over as the only technical and sporting direction of Kotoko — one voice, one direction, and no more backdoor lists of players. This means all football and player decisions are now expected to pass through one clear channel instead of several people pulling in different directions.

The message ends with a direct choice for Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh: come in fully or stay away. For ordinary Kotoko fans, the point is simple — the club needs clear leadership and fewer people giving orders from the shadows. Whether Dr. Baah-Nuakoh responds to this call is something supporters will be watching closely as the season goes on.
