I’ll Charge $500,000 Per Show For Tour With Wizkid, Says Davido

American-born Nigerian singer Davido has said he would charge $500,000 per show for a joint tour with fellow Afrobeats star Wizkid, expressing confidence that the concerts would sell out venues worldwide.

Davido, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, made the remarks during an appearance on the IONWANNATALK podcast, where he spoke about his relationship with Wizkid and the possibility of working together.

The singer expressed doubts about whether a joint song between them would become a hit, citing the collaboration between D’banj and 2Baba as an example.

“If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop,” Davido said.

However, he was more confident about the commercial prospects of a joint tour, saying he believed fans would fill every venue.

“But if we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out,” he added.

Davido also revealed that he and Wizkid had not recorded a song together in about 10 years, clarifying that their lack of collaboration was not due to an inability to work together.

Speaking about their long-standing rivalry among fans, the singer said he had moved past some of his previous disagreements and personal differences with Wizkid.

He added that it takes maturity and strength of character for someone to acknowledge when their feelings towards another person have changed.

“I felt that way at some point, but not anymore, and it takes a great man to admit that,” he said
