I Have Concluded My Visit To Saudi Arabia Where I’m Privileged To Enter Holy Kaaba To Pray— Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the conclusion of his visit to Saudi Arabia, revealing that he and members of his delegation were granted the rare opportunity to enter the Holy Kaaba in Mecca to pray and perform Umrah, the lesser Hajj.

Tinubu disclosed this in a statement shared on his X handle after concluding his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for the hospitality and special privilege extended to him and his delegation during their stay.

The Nigerian President specifically thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for granting them access to the sacred site and welcoming them to the kingdom.

Tinubu described the experience as a reflection of the longstanding religious and diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. He also appreciated what he called the brotherly care shown to him and the members of his delegation.

According to the President, he used the opportunity to offer prayers for Nigeria, asking for peace, unity and prosperity for the country and its citizens.

“In those sacred moments, I prayed for peace, unity and prosperity for our dear nation and for all Nigerians,” Tinubu stated.

His visit further highlighted the longstanding ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, particularly in religious pilgrimage and bilateral cooperation. Saudi Arabia remains an important destination for Nigerian Muslims undertaking Hajj and Umrah.

Tinubu’s announcement brought his visit to a close, with the President expressing appreciation to the Saudi leadership and reaffirming his prayers for Nigeria’s continued peace, unity and development.
