DStv cut 16 channels in South Africa

MultiChoice’s DStv has cut 16 channels in South Africa since the beginning of 2026 as it streamlined its packages to reduce costs amid declining revenue.The cuts followed more than five years of cost-cutting efforts before the broadcaster’s acquisition by France’s Groupe Canal+, and came as DStv underwent its largest package revamp in over two decades.
