Dudu Zuma-Sambudla Spotted Among EFF Red Beret in Soweto Is Her Next Political Move Finally Revealed
BOMBSHELL: Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla Spotted at EFF Rally in Soweto, Raising Questions About Her Political Future
Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma, has attracted widespread political attention after being spotted at the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) massive Tshela Thupa Rally at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
Her appearance at the high-profile gathering has sparked fresh speculation about her political future, particularly given her recent fallout with her father’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
The Tshela Thupa Rally marked the EFF’s final major campaign event ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections scheduled for Wednesday, 4 November.
Thousands of EFF supporters, dressed in the party’s trademark red regalia, gathered at Orlando Stadium for what the organisation described as the ‘Mother of All Rallies’.
However, among the notable developments attracting attention was the presence of Zuma-Sambudla, whose appearance added an unexpected political dimension to the gathering.
According to reports, she was seen wearing a T-shirt bearing the words ‘Freedom Fighters’. She also shared content from the venue on social media, tagging Orlando Stadium and using the message ‘Progressive Caucus Unite’.
Her presence has inevitably raised questions about whether she could be considering a new political direction following her departure from the MK Party.
Zuma-Sambudla was reportedly expelled from the organisation in June 2026 following internal political developments. The party was established under the leadership of her father, Jacob Zuma, and became a significant force in South African politics after the 2024 general elections.
Nevertheless, it is important to note that her attendance at the EFF rally does not automatically mean she has joined the organisation.
Neither Zuma-Sambudla nor the EFF has publicly confirmed any formal political agreement or membership arrangement following the gathering.
Meanwhile, EFF leader Julius Malema used the rally to deliver the party’s final campaign message, placing particular emphasis on municipal service delivery, unemployment, water shortages and the need for accountable local government.
The party also reiterated its proposals to insource municipal workers, improve basic services and address challenges affecting communities across the country.
With South Africans preparing to head to the polls, Zuma-Sambudla’s appearance has become one of the talking points emerging from the EFF’s final campaign gathering.
Whether this signals a possible political realignment remains unclear, but her presence has certainly generated renewed interest in her next political move.
