“Tell That Idiot to Respect His Elders” Kaluma Fires Back at His Political Allies
Homa Bay Town MP George Peter Kaluma has launched a fresh political attack on former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over their perceived influence in the emerging opposition arrangements ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Kaluma questioned the relationship between the two leaders and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, suggesting that the senator should respect Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as political discussions continue to shape the opposition’s future.
In his latest remarks, Kaluma appeared to address Uhuru and Gachagua directly, telling them to advise Sifuna against looking down on Kalonzo.
He sarcastically described the Nairobi senator as their puppet and suggested that he should understand the importance of respecting the Wiper leader, particularly if he expects to become Kalonzo’s running mate in the next presidential contest.
“Tell your puppet Edwin MAKONDE ICARUS Empty Sifuna that as the running mate of Kalonzo, he must show respect to the @TheWiperParty leader,” Kaluma stated.
He went further to predict that the political arrangement being discussed would lead to what he called a “short walk to political oblivion” in 2027.
His remarks reflected his opposition to the emerging political calculations involving the three leaders.
The comments come amid growing discussions about possible opposition alliances involving Gachagua, Sifuna and Kalonzo.
Gachagua has previously indicated that he would support Sifuna or Kalonzo if either demonstrated the strongest ability to challenge President William Ruto.
Kalonzo has also expressed willingness to work with Sifuna, although he has insisted that the presidential ticket must be decided through proper consultations.
The disagreement became more visible during the October 30 unveiling of the Linda Mwananchi headquarters, where sections of the crowd reportedly booed Kalonzo as supporters chanted Sifuna’s name.
The incident exposed the challenges facing opposition unity and raised questions about how competing presidential ambitions will be managed.
With 2027 approaching, Kaluma’s latest remarks have added another layer to the growing debate over who will lead the opposition.
