β€œStop Involving Those Idiots in Our Business?” Kalonzo’s Stern Message to Ukambani Leaders

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has delivered a strong warning to political leaders from Ukambani, accusing some of them of failing to protect the party’s interests while allowing President William Ruto’s allies to expand their influence in the region.

Kalonzo expressed concern over the growing presence of pro-government politicians in an area that has traditionally supported his political movement, raising questions about the future of Wiper’s influence ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking on October 31, the former Vice President appeared frustrated by the actions of local leaders whom he believes should be defending the party rather than creating opportunities for its political opponents.

His remarks suggested that some politicians from the region were putting their individual interests ahead of the wider political goals of Wiper and its supporters.

Kalonzo’s comments come at a time when President Ruto’s administration has increased its political activities in Ukambani.

The President recently toured the region, where he launched development projects and engaged local leaders.

His visit has sparked speculation about whether the government is attempting to weaken Kalonzo’s traditional support base by attracting influential politicians from the area.

The Wiper leader’s latest remarks also come just a day after he faced an uncomfortable reception during the unveiling of Edwin Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi Movement headquarters in Nairobi.

Sections of the crowd interrupted his speech with chants supporting Sifuna’s presidential ambitions, exposing tensions within the emerging opposition alliance.

The incident has added pressure on Kalonzo as he tries to maintain his political influence while negotiations over the opposition’s future continue.

With the 2027 elections approaching, Kalonzo faces the challenge of keeping Ukambani politically united while dealing with growing competition from government-aligned leaders.

His latest warning suggests that he is not ready to watch Wiper lose its traditional stronghold without a fight.

Whether local politicians will respond to his concerns or continue pursuing their own political arrangements remains to be seen.
