Simba Arati Declares ODM Stronger After Massive Jacaranda Rally, Says Raila Odinga’s Legacy Lives On
Kisii Governor and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati has declared that the party remains strong and politically influential following a rally held at Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East, Nairobi, on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Speaking after the rally, Arati maintained that ODM was an established political movement whose strength could not be measured by temporary political developments or claims that the party was losing its influence.
He insisted that the party had a strong foundation and would continue playing a significant role in Kenya’s political landscape despite challenges and doubts raised by its critics.
Arati also invoked the legacy of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, ODM’s Founding Father, saying his spirit, political ideals and contribution to the party remained alive among its members and supporters.
According to the Kisii Governor, the turnout and enthusiasm witnessed at Jacaranda Grounds demonstrated that ODM still commanded considerable support and remained connected to its grassroots membership.
“ODM was not born yesterday, and it will not end tomorrow!” Arati declared, sending a strong message to those who had questioned the party’s future following recent political developments.
He further challenged individuals who had written off the party to reconsider their position, arguing that the gathering at Jacaranda had provided a clear response to claims that ODM had weakened.
The rally also marked the conclusion of activities commemorating the first anniversary of Raila Odinga’s death, bringing together party leaders, supporters and members to celebrate his political legacy.
Arati maintained that the party’s journey was far from over, signalling continued mobilisation and efforts to strengthen its political structures across the country.
He concluded his message with a rallying call, declaring that ODM was determined to emerge bigger, better and stronger as it continued with its political journey.
His remarks signal the party’s determination to maintain its identity, unity and grassroots influence as Kenya moves towards another important political period.
