Kenyans React to Turnout as Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi Brigade Storms Kinango
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s Linda Mwananchi brigade has attracted mixed reactions after touring Kinango in Kwale County, with some Kenyans suggesting that the crowd turnout was smaller compared with previous rallies held in other parts of the country.
The political team was in Kinango on Saturday, October 31, as it continued taking its political message to different regions ahead of the 2027 General Election.
However, images from the political engagement sparked debate on social media, with some users appearing unimpressed by the number of people who turned up for the gathering.
In the comment section of a post announcing the visit, some Kenyans used humour to question the turnout. One comment simply read, “Hakuna watu,” while another stated, “Sioni watu.”
The remarks appeared to suggest that the Kinango gathering had attracted a relatively smaller crowd compared with previous Linda Mwananchi rallies witnessed in other parts of the country.
Other reactions reflected different political opinions, with one user declaring, “Coast ni tutam,” in reference to the opposition’s political message in the region.
The reactions highlight the mixed perceptions surrounding Linda Mwananchi’s grassroots engagements as the movement seeks to expand its presence across the country.
With the 2027 General Election approaching, the movement’s ability to attract crowds and build support in different regions will remain an important part of its political journey.
