Joho Breaks Silence on ODM-Ruto Deal, Reveals Conditions That Must Be Respected

ODM Deputy Party Leader Hassan Joho has addressed the political cooperation between the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and President William Ruto, insisting that the agreement was reached under specific conditions that must continue to be respected.

Speaking about the relationship between the two political sides, Joho maintained that ODM’s decision to work with Ruto was not unconditional, making it clear that the terms agreed upon remain important.

According to Joho, the cooperation between ODM and Ruto was established with certain expectations, which he says must remain in place as the political relationship continues.

“The ODM party has united with William Ruto under conditions, and those conditions will continue to stand,” Joho stated.

His remarks come amid continued political discussions surrounding ODM’s relationship with the Kenya Kwanza administration and differing positions among leaders over the party’s future direction.

The cooperation has attracted attention from political leaders and supporters, particularly as discussions about the 2027 General Election continue to shape the country’s political landscape.

Joho’s statement also highlights the importance of the conditions under which ODM agreed to cooperate with the President, suggesting that the party’s position should be understood within the terms of that arrangement.

However, he did not specify the individual conditions in the remarks provided.

His comments are likely to keep the debate surrounding ODM’s relationship with Ruto in the spotlight as political realignments continue ahead of the next General Election.
