‘Everything is ready’ – MTTD confirms November 1 TraffiTech-GH rollout

The Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has said that it is ready to roll out the TraffiTech-GH digital traffic enforcement system on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with cameras to be deployed to detect speeding and issue electronic violation notices to vehicle owners.The department’s Director of Education, Research and Training, ACP Alexander Kwaku Obeng, said all preparations had been completed for the commencement of the system, which will initially focus on speeding offences at locations associated with road crashes.
