Dennis Miracles Aboagye Alleges NDC Members Have Built Mansions in Two Years

NPP Director of Communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has made allegations against some members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming that individuals who do not receive salaries have managed to build expensive mansions in Adenta Aviation and North Legon within less than two years.

Aboagye made the claims while commenting on issues surrounding public accountability and the financial activities of individuals associated with the ruling party.

According to him, the properties are evidence of concerns that deserve public attention, particularly when some of the individuals allegedly involved do not have formal salaried positions.

He further claimed that his side possesses photographs of the mansions, suggesting that the images could be used to support the allegations he has raised.

The NPP communications director’s comments are likely to generate political debate, especially as questions about unexplained wealth, public service and transparency continue to feature in Ghana’s political discussions.

His remarks also place pressure on the individuals being referred to, although he did not publicly identify them in the statement provided. He equally did not disclose the estimated value of the properties or provide details about how they were allegedly financed.

The allegations have not been independently established, and the possession of photographs of properties alone would not prove that their owners obtained the money through illegal means.

The comments are expected to attract responses from NDC supporters and officials, particularly if Aboagye decides to make the photographs public and identify the people he is referring to.

The development has once again brought attention to the issue of accountability among political actors, with calls for transparency and credible evidence whenever claims of unexplained wealth are raised.
