You Have No Right To Interrupt Me; Treat Me With Respect, Rufai, I’m Very Ready For You– Oshiomhole
Senator Adams Oshiomhole had a heated exchange with Arise TV host Rufai Oseni during an interview while defending the political activities of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
During the interview, Oseni questioned Oshiomhole about Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, which is part of the groups supporting Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Responding, the former Edo State governor compared Wike with governors such as Chukwuma Soludo and Ademola Adeleke, who he said had also shown support for Tinubu.
Oshiomhole questioned why Wike should be treated differently from the other governors, suggesting that Oseni’s position was influenced by his personal bias against the FCT Minister.
The discussion became tense when Oshiomhole accused the presenter of repeatedly interrupting him while he was answering questions.
He insisted that Oseni should allow him to finish his responses and treat him with respect, adding that interrupting guests was not in line with proper journalism.
Oshiomhole also defended Wike’s record as a former governor, arguing that both Wike and Soludo had won re-election and that governors had different styles of leadership.
In his words, “You have no right to interrupt me when I’m replying. Let’s agree on international best practices. You must have the patience to listen to my answer. And you must treat me as a guest with respect. Rufai, I’m very ready for you; I also have the right to counter you.”
