“You Don’t Get Pregnant So Why Do You Have A Pot Belly It Doesn’t Make Sense” – MC Yaa Yeboah to Men

According to a Post by THEBBCGHANA on Facebook Official account on Friday, October 30, 2026, Ghanaian media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has stirred conversations on social media following her remarks about the growing number of men who have noticeable pot bellies.

The outspoken broadcaster recently shared her views on the subject during a discussion on Peace FM, where she questioned why some men develop large stomachs despite not experiencing pregnancy.

According to her, she finds it difficult to understand why a man would have a protruding stomach when he does not go through the physical process of carrying a baby. She stressed her point while discussing the body shapes of some Ghanaian men.

Her statement has since attracted attention, with many people likely to have different opinions about the issue. While some may agree with her observation, others could argue that having a big stomach does not necessarily mean someone has poor health habits.

Pot bellies among men can sometimes be associated with several factors, including eating patterns, lack of regular exercise, alcohol consumption, age and other lifestyle-related conditions. However, body size differs from one individual to another, and physical appearance alone cannot determine someone’s overall health.

MC Yaa Yeboah’s comments have therefore brought another conversation into the public space, particularly concerning how men maintain their bodies and the importance of paying attention to physical fitness.

Her remarks have also created an opportunity for discussions about healthy living, balanced diets and regular exercise among both young and older men.

Although her statement was delivered in a straightforward manner, it has highlighted an issue that could attract different reactions from listeners and social media users.

The discussion continues to raise questions about body image and personal responsibility.
