Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has inspired Galatasaray to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday night.

The 27-year-old scored the opening goal to help his side secure all three points away from home.

The Nigerian international opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a powerful header following a free-kick delivery from Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara.

Osimhen’s goal gave Galatasaray an early advantage and set the tone for an impressive performance by the defending Turkish champions.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 28th minute through Yunus Akgün, who found the back of the net with a powerful effort after receiving a pass from Aleksey Batrakov.

Galatasaray continued their dominance after the restart, with Batrakov getting on the scoresheet in the 49th minute to make it 3-0.

Portuguese forward Rafael Leão completed the scoring in the 55th minute by converting a penalty to seal a comprehensive victory for Okan Buruk’s men.

Osimhen was substituted in the 61st minute after playing a significant role in his team’s impressive display.

The victory extended Galatasaray’s winning run in the league to four matches and strengthened their position at the top of the standings with 25 points from 10 matches.

Meanwhile, Osimhen’s latest strike took his tally to nine goals in eight Turkish Super Lig appearances this season, placing him at the top of the league’s goalscoring chart.
