Student Allegedly Heading to Exams Dies in Grisly Eldoret Accident Involving Motorcycle and Truck

A student believed to be from Eldoret National Polytechnic has reportedly died in an accident involving a motorcycle and a truck along Uganda Road in Eldoret. The incident is said to have happened as the student travelled to sit exams.

Information shared on social media indicates that the student died at the scene following the collision. The circumstances leading to the crash have not been independently established, and details about the motorcycle, truck and those involved remain limited at present.

The report has drawn attention because the learner was allegedly heading to an exam when the accident occurred. It has raised concern among those following the report, although the student’s identity and examination have not been made public.

The incident was reported along Uganda Road in Eldoret, but the precise location and time of the collision have not been confirmed. It is also unclear which direction the motorcycle and truck were travelling before the impact occurred that day.

At this stage, there is no verified account explaining how the motorcycle and truck collided. It would be premature to attribute blame to either road user before investigators establish what happened and whether any traffic or safety rules were breached.

Details about the student’s age, course of study and home area have not been provided. The institution has not been quoted in the information shared, and there is no statement from its administration addressing the reported death of the learner.

The condition of the truck driver and the motorcyclist has not been established from the post. It is unclear whether anyone else was injured, whether emergency responders attended the scene, or whether the body was moved to a nearby mortuary.

Road crashes involving motorcycles and larger vehicles can have devastating consequences, particularly when occupants have little protection during a collision. However, the cause of this particular incident can only be determined through reliable evidence and an official police investigation underway.

The reported death is a painful reminder of how quickly a routine journey can turn tragic. If confirmed, the loss of a student reportedly travelling to sit examinations will be deeply felt by relatives, classmates and the wider institution community.
