Prophet Roja Claims Tema Is Sitting on Oil, Urges Government to Invite Investors

Ghanaian prophet Roja has made a striking claim about the possible presence of oil beneath Tema, suggesting that the entire township could be sitting on significant petroleum resources.

According to Prophet Roja, the government should consider bringing in investors to explore the area and establish whether commercially viable oil deposits exist.

His comments have drawn attention to the possibility of expanding Ghana’s petroleum exploration activities beyond areas where oil discoveries have already been established.

Prophet Roja believes Tema could hold valuable natural resources that, if properly investigated and developed, may create economic opportunities for the country.

However, Prophet Roja’s statement remains a claim and does not establish that commercially recoverable oil deposits have been discovered beneath Tema.

Any such possibility would require scientific geological assessments, exploration surveys and confirmation by the relevant petroleum authorities before investment decisions could be made.

His comments have nevertheless opened up discussions about Ghana’s natural resource potential and the importance of exploring new areas for possible petroleum discoveries.

For now, attention will be on whether the relevant authorities or exploration companies will consider investigating the claim and determining whether Tema has any commercially viable oil reserves.
