Judicial Service partners with Kwame AI to introduce AI tools into judicial work

The Judicial Service of Ghana has partnered artificial intelligence (AI) startup Kwame AI Incorporated to integrate technology into judicial work and improve efficiency in the administration of justice.

The collaboration is expected to streamline judicial processes and enhance the productivity of judges, magistrates and other designated members of the Judicial Service.

In a Facebook post, the Judicial Service said the partnership would give selected judicial officers access to Kwame AI’s Eskwai platform, also known as Legal AI.

The platform provides access to a database of case laws, legislation, user-uploaded documents and online resources to support legal professionals in carrying out their duties.

Through Eskwai, judges and magistrates can conduct legal research, draft documents and review legal materials with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

The Judicial Service said judges and magistrates have consequently received training on how to use the platform to facilitate their work.

The initiative forms part of efforts to leverage technology to improve efficiency and productivity in the justice delivery system.
