‘I performed money ritual and enjoyed wealth for five years before losing my leg’ – Nigerian pastor
A Nigerian pastor, Joel Adedeji, has recounted how his involvement in a money ritual in his younger years brought him wealth for about four to five years before his fortunes took a turn.
The pastor, who is based in Ogbomosho, told BBC Yoruba that he turned to a herbalist while searching for financial breakthrough and a better life.
According to him, the herbalist instructed him to find a woman he was attracted to, have sexual intercourse with her and use a piece of cloth to wipe her private parts afterwards.
Adedeji said he followed the instructions and began making money, but the herbalist later demanded that he carry out additional rituals.
“The baba said I should look for someone I like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once I am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more,” he said.
He disclosed that the herbalist subsequently warned him that although he would become wealthy, he would never be able to use the money to buy a car or build a house.
Adedeji said he enjoyed the wealth for approximately four to five years before he began experiencing difficulties.
Recounting the accident that eventually led to the amputation of one of his legs, the pastor said the vehicle that hit him belonged to him but was being driven by someone he had lent money to purchase it.
“Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated,” he recounted.
Reflecting on his experience, Adedeji urged young people not to rush into questionable ways of acquiring wealth, advising them to be patient and trust the process of life.
He stressed that people should avoid seeking quick riches at the expense of their future.
