FG introduces ₦50,000 monthly relief for vulnerable households

The Federal Government has commenced a monthly cash relief programme providing ₦50,000 to vulnerable households to ease the impact of rising living costs.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard Doro, announced the initiative in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

Doro said the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI) is a presidential initiative aimed at providing immediate financial support to millions of vulnerable Nigerians.

The programme is expected to offer financial relief to households facing economic difficulties and help cushion the effects of increasing living expenses.
