Bank of Ghana Releases Exchange Rates for Friday, 30 October 2026: Dollar, Pound and Euro Prices
The Bank of Ghana has released its daily exchange rates for Friday, 30 October 2026, showing how much the US Dollar, British Pound, and Euro are buying and selling for in cedis. The rates are based on the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Thursday, 29 October 2026.
According to the figures, the US Dollar is buying at GH¢11.6457 and selling at GH¢11.6573. This means banks will buy one dollar from customers at that buying price and sell it at the slightly higher selling price. The gap between the two rates is how banks make their margin on currency transactions.
The British Pound Sterling is the highest of the three currencies, buying at GH¢15.5656 and selling at GH¢15.5823. This means one pound costs more than fifteen cedis, reflecting the strength of the pound against the cedi compared to the dollar.
The Euro is buying at GH¢12.9952 and selling at GH¢13.0081. This puts the European currency between the dollar and the pound in value, with one euro costing just over thirteen cedis.
These rates matter to many people in Ghana, including importers, exporters, travelers, and businesses that deal in foreign currencies. They also give an idea of how the cedi is performing against major world currencies. The Bank of Ghana publishes these rates regularly so that the public and businesses can plan their transactions with clear information.
