A Pimple Matters More to a Woman Than War in Afghanistan – Prof. Delle

Renowned Dermatologist and Founder of Rabito Clinic, Prof. Edmund Delle, has highlighted how much people, particularly women, value their appearance, explaining his decision to focus on skin and facial health.

Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, Prof. Delle said acne is among the most common problems people face and stressed that facial appearance can significantly affect a person’s confidence and social life.

He used a striking comparison to illustrate how important facial appearance is to women.

“A pimple on a woman’s face is more important to her than a war in Afghanistan,” he said.

Prof. Delle explained that his focus on dermatology was driven by the everyday skin problems people have.

“Acne is the commonest problem people face. Without pimples, I cannot work,” he said.

According to him, the face plays an important role in how individuals present themselves and interact with society, making proper facial care essential.

“Your face is your passport to society, so if you do not take care of your face, who else will?” he said.

Prof. Delle added that this understanding of the social importance of facial appearance was central to why he concentrated on it in his professional practice.
