M-Pesa active users hit 41.7 million

Safaricom’s M-Pesa platform recorded 41.68 million active customers in the year ended March 2026, up from 35.82 million a year earlier, as the mobile money service continued to expand its reach across Kenya.The growth represents a 14.5 per cent increase in customers who used the platform within a 30-day period, according to the company’s 2026 Sustainable Business Report.
