Geoffery Mosiria hospitalised after falling ill during a meeting

Geoffrey Mosiria has been hospitalised after suddenly falling ill during a meeting in Nairobi on Thursday evening, October 29, 2026.

Duke Mainga Echate disclosed the incident in a statement, saying he accompanied Mosiria to the hospital alongside Morara Kebaso and Mirina after he became unwell during a meeting held in Nairobi.

“This evening, together with Hon Morara Kebaso and Hon Mirina, we accompanied our brother Geoffrey Mosiria KE to the hospital after he suddenly fell ill during our meeting in Nairobi,” Mainga stated.

He wished Mosiria a quick recovery, expressing hope that he would regain his strength.

“Wishing you a quick recovery and renewed strength. By God’s grace, the devil’s plans shall be defeated. Take it easy bro,” he added.

The circumstances surrounding Mosiria’s sudden illness have not been disclosed yet.

His hospitalisation comes barely a month after he was laid off from the County Government of Nairobi.

Meanwhile, Mosiria had also just recalled his past role in efforts to keep Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) clean, saying he is ready to take up the responsibility again.

Mosiria said he previously led and supported the team tasked with maintaining cleanliness in the city centre, claiming that the CBD was very clean during that period.

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 29, 2026, he recalled how the team apprehended people found urinating or defecating in public spaces, with those found guilty being ordered by courts to perform community service, including cleaning the city.

“I used to lead and support the team responsible for keeping Nairobi clean, and the CBD was very, very clean!” Mosiria said.

“Wangapi wanakumbuka tulipokuwa tunakamata watu waliokuwa wakikojoa na kujisaidia haja kubwa katikati ya CBD? We made sure they faced the full force of the law, and the courts ordered those found guilty to perform community service, including cleaning the city,” he added.
