Gladys Wanga Visits Oburu Oginga at Home, Shares Fresh Update on His Condition

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has visited Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Oburu Oginga at his Nairobi home, sharing a fresh update about his condition.

In a message shared on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Wanga said she was happy to find the Siaya Senator strong and in high spirits during their meeting.

The governor also shared photographs showing her spending time with Oburu as they caught up and went through local newspapers.

“Catching up with my party leader Dr Oburu Oginga earlier today. Happy to see him strong and in very high spirits,” Wanga said.

Her visit comes as Kenyans continue to follow Oburu’s recovery after he was discharged from hospital on October 19, 2026.

The ODM leader had been away from several public political activities while receiving medical attention and resting. His absence attracted public attention, with party officials and family members previously reassuring Kenyans about his condition.

Wanga’s latest update provides another glimpse of the veteran politician as he continues to recover at home.

The governor is also the ODM national chairperson, making her visit significant for the party as it prepares for the 2027 General Election.
