Dzifa Tegah Reveals How Accidentally Posting NDC Message on SIGA Platform Cost Her Job
Dzifa Tegah, the Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has recounted how she lost her job as a communications officer at the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) during the administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Tegah attributed her dismissal to an incident in which she accidentally shared an NDC communication on SIGA’s official platform while performing her duties as a communications officer for the opposition party.
Speaking in an interview with Accra FM on October 28, 2026, she said the incident occurred during the tenure of Asamoah Boateng as head of SIGA.
At the time, Tegah was employed as a communications officer at the state authority while also holding an executive position within the NDC.
She explained that she had prepared a message containing an instruction from the party, which she intended to distribute across its various communication platforms.
According to her, the document was routine party communication and included her name and designation as the NDC’s communications officer.
However, while circulating the message, she inadvertently included SIGA’s official page among the intended recipients, resulting in the party communication appearing on the authority’s platform.
Tegah said the incident immediately raised concerns about her political affiliation, leading to her removal from the position.
She attributed the mistake partly to the similarities in the dominant colours of the SIGA and NDC emblems, both of which feature green and red.
The NDC executive further alleged that she was not given a fair opportunity to explain herself before her dismissal, describing the process as unjust.
Despite the circumstances surrounding her departure from SIGA, Tegah said she had come to regard the experience positively, believing it had contributed significantly to her personal development and political career.
She described losing the job as the greatest blessing of her life, suggesting that the setback ultimately helped shape the person she has become today.
